Are you sure those are Antarctica icebergs and not the Arctic

When did you go down there??

I did 2 stints at Palmer Station and one at McMurdo

Is there some way you can convey the enormity of Berg 15 to the sailfar crew

Yes the sample shots are from Anartica. My son spent the summer of 2000 and 2001 down there. I have irreplacable discs from the area, including playing his trumpet on the south pole. He has icicles hanging from the spit valves. The other shot, if I recall is Mt. Erebus. He spent his time on the CG icebreakers, and some time on the helos, with the scientists, placing the tubes on that shot.

I still an amazed at the shots of the Orcas, face to faces, most of all. I have always been interested in that part of the world. I do know that some recruitment takes place for job placements, but I am way too old to do the stint now. There is a great group online for the old folks that did a lot of duty during the 1950s and 60s that still accept folks through the present date, I will attempt to find, that is has a reuinion for the guys early Oct-Nov each year.
