Yah, everyone knows how to do this one, but... maybe not. Messy! but fun eating with friends.

about 4 cans/bottles beer
1 tsp salt
at least 3 pounds shrimp, still in shells (well, any way, really, but we prefer shell-on but deveined tails.)

Dutch oven/big saucepan

Pour beer and salt into pan, bring to a boil. Throw the shrimp in, return to a boil and reduce to a light simmer. Cover and cook just until pink, 3-5 minutes or even less depending on the size of your shrimp. Don't over cook or the shrimp will get tough. Drain and serve immediately. With a huge bowl for the shells, cocktail sauce, maybe some garlic butter, lots and lots of napkins/paper towels, generous quantities of beer...

chEASY cocktail sauce

1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbls lemon juice
2-3 tsp prepared horseradish
