I'm going to try and move onboard PRETTY LUCKY friday. if nothing comes along and jinxes me, I'll do a three week stay then come home lock up the house and hand mom the key and back to the boat for a longer stay. hopefuly nothing will wrong with the boat that was not reported to me while I have been at home fighting beside my friend Sherri to get her little girl back. we won and as an extra bonus one of her sons found her and came back home. as soon as the other son turns of age he may be back with her also......but my job is done and I plan on doing the cruise that was planned 3 years ago before all this poop popped up. so cross them fingures. the first beer I open I'm toasting Eric ...may he rest in peace. it was his story of the trip that took on the little pearson ariel that I would read and reread more then a few times when I wanted to be away from that court room. also want to thank the crew of the S.V. FAITH. and there James from the S.V. ATOM, and LYNX is amongest the thanks..there's just too many to name, but I do want to thank the Captain for the website..with out it I would be a nervuse wreck...ok maybe I still am one, but this site takes the edge off some. lol. thanks to everyone here for the fun times and rough times they helped me get to this point. Bill

Thanks, I still have a lot of work to do but mostly it's cleaning and easy stuff. I got to patch the main, and need to replace the running rigging.most of it will get done while under way. I'll be tied to the dock till November. then I'm not sure where I'll call home. thanks for all the inspiration.

Thanks, I'll try to have a good time. lol. well, my ride bailed on me, so I'll be moving on the boat Saturday 10/10/09. I'm getting a tad panicky, trying to remember everything. I'm sure I'll feel better about the move when I get to the boat and see for myself everything is OK.

Thanks, it's beena long day! I been cleaning and putting stuff away. Iam amazed at the mildow and mold that grow in hidden spots. not in the main cabin so much as the v berth under the sides where you cann't see it unless you lay on your back and then you go through a whole bottle of cleaner and still got soe hidden somewhere else! My main hatcj=h was in pieces and someone unplugged the drop cord and killed the batteries and I had water deep in the bilge. no biggy. the tarp was shreds and I removed most of it in little strips. I feel much better then I did last night, all wooried so bad I never fell asleep. I got to build a hatch in the morning I guess. I'm just going to build a get me by, for now. I think I am going to like the live aboard thing, it's almost just like home for me except cable and a micro wave. oh and the 5 minute trak to the rest room.

I'm having a blast. there's really been no withdraws from lack of TV either..that surprised me. thanks yall, I think I like this liveaboard thing after all. lol. thanks, Bill

Vinegar and water. That's a great way to wash down almost everything, inside and out. It will stop most mold and mildew, by removing salt (which attracts moisture and helps mildew grow). It's not as effective at killing mold and mildew--Lysol is better. But once you've got the gunk under control, vinegar and water is great, cheap and, FWIW, pretty green. I use one spray bottle of vinegar and another of fresh water. First the vinegar, wipe, then rinse with fresh water. The smell isn't too bad, and it doesn't last as long as the Lysol. --Joe
