In the limited space available on Amorous I still carry both volumes of Bowditch and read parts of them whenever I'm feeling intellectually stagnant.  Crossword puzzles help too.
Past favorites have included "Sensible Cruising the Thoreau Approach" or something like that, which helped me to realize that I was never going if I wanted to keep the 47 footer and that I had no interest in simply living aboard.
Taken for what they are, all of Tristan Jones' books are fun, and of course anything by Louis Lamour, Larry McMurtry, or Zane Grey as I'm a cowboy at heart.
