We are heading to Hilton Head, SC for a business related trip in May and I get to take the boat!   Smiley  We'll have one full day to cruise around and several afternoons.

I have arranged for a slip at a marina that suits (price and 'personality'), but they have no facility to store my trailer.  They suggested possibliy using an Econo-Storage type place, which is a possibility.

I was just wondering if anyone here had any suggestions for storing a trailer in the Hilton Head area that is (1) less than $45 for the week and (2) not TOO far from the island.

this is just a thought here, but you can stop by the shrimp and sea food docks and see what they will charge you to keep your trailer behind there building or something.
if Marvin is still alive, and still owns Rose Island seafood he  has always worked out great dells with me some years back in the mid 90's. also Gays seafood has some great folks there maybe they can work out something. then there is a place called Cofin point, that has a very rough looking boat yard area. maybe you can give them a try. Marvin is realy a great guy to talk too. I'm a big redneck so I got along with all these shrimper types, but if your a fancy type dude, well you might not feel like staying too along around them between baths. lol.
 hope it helps.

Dunno if this would work or not, but...

Get a cheap tent campsite, put up a tent on it, maybe throw in a couple of sleeping bags, and leave the trailer there with it. Smiley

You'll have fun down there, John. Wanna borrow a chart?

Wouldn't that be more than the Econo-Storage?  Most tent sites I've seen lately run $15+ per night and we'll be there a week.

I went ahead and ordered one, since I hope this trip is not an isolated event.  Smiley  (Thanks for the offer, though).

Good point.

But also - Maybe just ask a campground if you can store for $50 for week? It'd be 'free money' for them...
