Excellent write up of a fun adventure!

I know that feeling of the motor dying in San Pablo Bay!  It happened to me in January 2005 returning from the Bay.  Fortunately, as it turned out, we only ran out of gas.  A power boater gave us 3 gallons of gas.  This happened just off Davis Point, and we were heading in to Vallejo for the night.  We asked the power boater how far up the Napa River is the marina, and he told us, "About 10 minutes."  About 40 minutes later, and half-way to the marina, we realize he meant "About 10 minutes for him at wide open throttle."  But we eventually got to where we wanted to be.

Glad you made it back.  Glad Lady Z enjoyed the trip and is looking forward to more!
