I took this one a bit far and ended up doing "Look Like A Pirate Day"....I had a metal splinter fly off an angle grinder blade and straight into my left eye.

So got to do the eye-patch thing. Though having the doc yanking the metal out of my eye did have me saying "AAAAARGH!"

Alex-

That's dedication... I hope you're okay...and I hope you're going to post a pic of you wearing an eyepatch and a bandanna... Cheesy  A parrot would be a nice touch, but a bit over the top.

Peg leg and hook aren't required... so be careful in the shop.

Yowch! If only ye'd been wearing yer OSHA-approved pirate patch! Cheesy

Hope that any damage is minor, and fleeting, Alex.

But hey - Dan's right, the pictures should be good. Wink

lol- The hulls will be painted. The decks are going to at least start out varnished.

Since we have such a quantity of oyster shell around here and since we will both be taking the boats back country, her to photograph wildlife for her paintings and me to chase redfish, it doesn't make sense to varnish the hulls.

And yes, every thing will have at least two coats of epoxy pre-paint. In fact, the hulls already HAVE three coats, well sanded.

The weight differences is due to the glass I used on the bottoms. Her boat has 6 oz on the hull, with 4 oz on the sides. Mine has 10 oz hull, 4 oz sides. I'm heavier so figured I'd tend to crunch bottom more often and harder than she will. Her 108 pounds isn't much considering Wink But I've been VERY careful with the weights, trying hard to not add a pound un-necessarily. Light boats are much more fun.

Charlie, the yaks are looking beautiful!!  I know you and Little Laura are going to have a blast in them.  She will need to share some of her wildlife picts with us.   Smiley
