Be aware that the newer seats on the Porta-Botes tend to have problems breaking down under UV exposure.  The older plywood ones seem to hold up much better, especially if they've been fiberglassed over to protect them from water.

What size Portabote did you get???

Its a 12 footer.  The seats are plywood.  The boat is in fair to good condition.

Its cold and blowing here today or I would have tried it out, maybe this weekend I will get a chance.  If theres not snow in teh forecast!

That's the same size one my wife bought me... Wink  Rows really well, provided you know how to row.  My wife used to take us in large circles... Cheesy

FWIW there is an acrylic dingy listed on e-bay IIRC around 7'9" or so.  Normal disclaimers apply - I'd be tempted, but its a long way to row from FL to MT Grin
