Title: Setting a date ...
Post by: Bubba the Pirate on May 28, 2017, 02:20:43 PM
I've been challenged by a sailing mentor/friend to to get off my a$$, declare a launch date and stick to it.
So in a couple public forums, and now this one, I have declared:
sv Emma will be back in the water and we will have started our wandering by 5/1/2018.

May Day is an appropriate date for a boat with that name sake!  Hope we'll see you out there.

May Day is a brilliant date! I wish I could say I thought of that. I'm not sure how I didn't.

I was being goaded by my sailing mentor. He said May 1st; I said I'll say the month of May for flexibility with regard to weather, etc. He said something to the effect of just set a darn date and get off your ass.

So I did.

Now ... I may even wait until May 1st even if I'm ready sooner.

Thanks.
