Title: 12 boats sunk in my marina during Harvey. They have begun lifting sunken boats
Post by: CharlieJ on October 31, 2017, 06:45:34 PM
This picture shows how close Tehani came. All the boats on my side of the dock stayed afloat- every boat across the dock sank- 7 on that dock

Good to see Tehani proudly floating in the midst of disaster!

Did they lift Cyric's boat out?  Did the marina pay for the big crane, or did several owners get together?

After this long they must have been pretty scuzzy looking, but if pressure washed before they dry, most will come off.  Dried and sun baked for a month is a different story.

Do they have stands to set the boats on. Or just let them lay over on the ground?

Will Cyric be able to get down and deal with initial cleanings?

So many questions and problems.  I feel for the boat owners who had their boats sunk, primarily because they were on the exposed side of the dock.

US Coast Guard with General Land Office overseeing. No, they haven't gotten to Cyric's boat yet. Just dumping onto barge in a pile-will be no salvage.
