Preparation for next weeks boat parade in Marina Del Rey. The theme "A Pirate's Winter Wonderland". Still have another 2,000 lights to put on this week. As you see it thats 4000+ lights. If you don't believe me count them. We enter every year and have won every honor except the "Grand Prize". Going for it again this year.

Sounds good Nick,
Looks like I'll be going to Kalamazoo in a few weeks but no water there. Have a great weekend sailing.

Jack,
Now just because you and Bob Bitchin have Formosas dosen't mean you can't post here anymore. All kidding aside that is a great boat and to be live aboards is even better. Send us some pictures when you get them. What is her name? Best of luck.

Hey Nick,
Getting a valve job on the engine so no sailing for us. We are having sailing withdrawls... I was just in your state up in Traverse City on business. What a beautiful area that is. Is Holland similar?

Thanks Connie,
Still without motor so going to a friends house with the kids and they are BBQ for us Dads.
Engine Update:
Rreplaced the injectors adjusted the valves and it still smokes. Next they are doing a valve job, if that doesn't do it they are doing a ring job. At some point (money will dictate) I may just replace the whole thing with a good used one. We plan on putting it up for sale soon anyway.

going to Catalina Island this weekend on a stinkpot. Since the "Tina Marie's" engine is in dispose we are taking our friends offer to go with them on their 53' boat. It is an annual event with our Yacht club. "The Margarita Cruise". Now before I get all these people saying "It's a Sailboat for Christ Sake" I know it is but my wife and I have to get back to that what do you call it? ?OH a job on Monday. Anyway it should be a lot of fun as we are the current champs of the margarita contest and are ready to defend our title. Leaving Friday morning and returning Sunday afternoon. Wish us luck... ----------------------------------------------------------------- This morning it looked so nice out I thought I'd leave it out. S/V "Tina Marie" Cal 2-27

Two Sundays ago my wife and I were sitting on the boat and I turned to her and said this is a sailboat after all. So we inlisted the assistance of our next door (slip) neighbor and shoved off for a couple hours of pure sailing. Now I have sailed into our slip a few times without incident but this Sunday the wind was kick'in pretty good so needless to say we took some assistance the last hundred yards or so and had a great day of sailing. Meanwhile we still enjoy sitting in the cockpit watching all the other boats go by.

I love to hear people having fun sailing. Just reading about you guys takes me right out there. We are still without a motor. May have someone take a look this weekend. I started it up last Sunday after replacing all filters and she billowed and sounded pretty bad. Anyway I'll have her running before summer.
