Greetings from Japan

This is not humor but it is off topic...hmmm kind of.
I am in Japan at the moment. Checking out the sailing scene in Kobe/Osaka.
The weather was good today. There was suppose to be a sailboat race... however no wind. Oh well. Small sailboats are "in" here. I met some nice sailors.it was suggested that if I get "certified" I could make a living giving sailing classes. I do not speak ebonics, but I do speak Japanese (also Chinese, Spanish, Tagalo ) so that is a big plus! You need a licence to sail here more than anything dingy size. Unless you are from another country and sailed here.

I  understand the lateral system in japan is the opposite of what it is here in the u.s.{the "lateral system"is the system of buoyage----that is red and green lites are on opposite sides}

Untrue. I just asked. It is the same

From what I have heard, sometimes sailboats are almost ( and some are free) given away here. The cost of the 'old" our size boats is not the problem it is the slip charges and upkeep which many here do not have the time for.

A guy ( I met on line) here in Japan from Cal, now living here, picked this Yamaha/diesel power/25? fter for 800.00 U.S. funds

I was just told:
 In japan it's the same as US red right return, in UK it's different

Ah nothing says civilized like a heated toliet that will wash and dry the old bumm also.


It will also clean itself. The faucet on top fills the bowl and you rinse off your hands at the same time.  Oh BTW this seat is in it's own room away from the bath area.



You shower off first ( sit or stand ) then bathe in this deep tub.




Now where is that saki bottle...

Cool! Interesting look into another culture. That rinsewater-goes-into-the-bowl idea - smart!
