I hope everyone takes time to day to thank a veteran, both alive and past.
I do, and any time I see/meet one, I make it a point to Thank them for serving. There are quite a few around here who are obviously not well off (to say the least), and I've been able to surprise a couple of them by buying their groceries or sundries on the sly, having the cashier just tell them that what they have done for Our Nation is appreciated; their bill has already been taken care of. It's one of the best feelings I've ever gotten, to be able to give back even the tiniest bit.
Thanks to all of y'all who did, too.
