Hey Folks!  Me and a lady sailor down in Panama are making loose plans to make a zine or zines about lady sailors.  We're considering doing an short interview format.

Are there any ladies on this site besides me?
Does anybody know any awesome, accomplished lady sailors that might be willing to do a short phone or email interview?
Any suggestions on notable books/movies/media about awesome lady sailors?
Got a favorite lady sailor?

Yeah, I'd love to interview Annie from Oriental.  I've got to did through our big box of boat cards and see if I can find her contact info.

Thanks for the other suggestion, too.  I'm banking them.

I like Laura Dekker. Not because of the "youngest around the world"-stuff but while I have the impression Tania Aebi wasn't completely voluntary when she set off on her journey, Laura had to fight for her right to go sail and, having won that fight and sailed for two years alone, decided that this was the life for her. I love how you can see, in the film about her voyage, how she grows from a teenager into a very capable adult. It would be interesting to hear how she feels today?
I look for subtle places, beaches, riversides and the ocean's lazy tides.
I don't want to be in races, I'm just along for the ride.

Nike Steiger from the White Spot Pirates Youtube channel and website is not an experienced sailor per se, but has worked her ass off, near as I can tell, to be able to sail around the Caribbean. I don't her plan but I think she is headed into the Pacific now via the Canal.

She's passed through the Canal. The videos are delayed a while. Actually she's back in Germany now for the winter

Very good vids
