Title: ABYC electrical question
Post by: lastgreatgeneration on January 08, 2017, 10:19:05 PM
I need to run some new gfci outlets and one of those outlets that has the two 4 amp USB plugs. I was thinking about putting them as close to the cabin sole because that's where I plug in a heater and the wire normally presents a tripping hazard.

Is there ABYC guidelines stating how close to the floor I can mount an outlet? I was also planning on using 10 gauge marine stranded wire and plastic housings. I'm thinking I only need to run two outlets as that is the maximum I use now. I usually just run one heater and maybe charge my laptop, maximum wattage would be less than 2000 watts.

Anyone have any links or guides for the information I am seeking?

Thanks
