Title: DIY hatch covers
Post by: Wade on September 20, 2012, 10:48:00 AM
I needed some hatch covers and finally got around to them. I have 2 26 inch hatches. I don't know the type but they are pretty standard. I watched Sail rites free video on youtube. I used a discarded bimini top I had salvaged from the dumpster and with a speedy stitcher and 2.5 hrs had one completed. So simple and now I have the confidence to try some other sewing projects.

Very nice.  Good job, and grog to you (for the effort, and for posting!).

Same thing as "Awl for All?"  If so, I have two also.   ;D

Nice cover. I have three. One in Lisa's sewing stuff, one on the boat and one that I have had for over 30 years in my leather sewing stuff. Come in handy one than once.
