Title: Need advice designing a locker lid
Post by: SeaHusky on December 28, 2014, 05:05:19 PM
I am redoing some of the interior and one thing I want to change is the "below the bunk" lockers.
The way they are now the opening is just a hole in the front and a solid bunk top.
What I am planning is to close up the front an make three cutouts with lid in the bunk surface.
What kind of latch/hinge system should I use that will hold a fully loaded locker during a knockdown without coming open?

On Tehani I installed turn buttons reached through a hole in the locker lid. The lids are hinged and open towards the out board sides.

This pic shows the turn button on one of the settee back lockers- all others are the same
