Title: painting the bottom of a boat, on a trailer
Post by: CharlieJ on July 21, 2013, 05:31:31 PM
Necessity has been sold and getting a new bottom job before she goes away.

The easy part, if crawling around under and around a trailer is easy, is painting all the parts NOT on the trailer.

That leaves the bunk board areas. What to do, what to do??

Well, Jack the trailer up, wedge some 2x4 supports under the rub rails, let the trailer back down, and paint the exposed area hidden by the boards.

Oh, and have the new owner do the painting

Notice that no one has to be UNDER the boat at this stage and if it SHOULD fall, it drops 4 or 5 inches to the bunks.

Other side tomorrow
