Title: Power sprayer as cockpit shower
Post by: Craigie on January 21, 2018, 02:56:11 AM
Hello everyone.
I need to install new water tanks and was thinking of using a powered garden  sprayer, normally used on the back of an ATV, as a stand alone shower for the cockpit. I only have foot pumps at the basin and sink and don't want to shower in the head. It will sit in the bottom of the cockpit locker, which is pretty deep.
Has anyone used one of these as a cockpit shower? Any suggestions or possible problems, which you think I might run into.

Several of us here will attest to these!
I have several myself.
No motor to break or power use.
Heat water on stove on an overcast cool day..

2 thumbs up from me

We have used a 3 gallon black pressure sprayer on Phantom for 15 years, both in our cockpit and in our head space.  I put a dish washing nozzle on it for a better spray flow.  We can get three showers easily, just be frugal when wetting down.  Those with long hair and skin issues will use more water.

I do have one recommendation for a modification, and I've showed this to Chuck of Duckworks

I added a 90 degree fitting to the hose just after it exits the tank- makes it far easier to coil the hose smoothly
