As the weather is not cooperating today, we are laid up answering emails and surfing the intertube. While doing some non related research, just happened into what seems to be a great info site for off-shore cruisers.
The Offshore Voyaging Reference Site (http://morganscloud.com)
After 30 years of doing this stuff, I still like to see some one httelse's take on gear, fixes, needs, etc. While it looks to be geared toward "high-lattitude" sailing, it still has lots of great practical info from working cruisers. Worth taking a look at (IMHO).
Love the attitude check on the front page:
What Really Matters
- Keep the water out
- Keep the crew on the boat
- Keep the keel side down
- Keep the mast up
- Keep the rudder on
The rest is small stuff.
