Wow, that boat is only ~50 miles from here. Would be neat to see her before she gets sold, I never saw her when I was berthed in Little River.
Very interesting design, and Lechter, well, he obviously had experience, so you would think the vessel capable...
The original boat was a 26. John and his wife cruised it extensively on the west coast, making trips to Alaska and across the Pacific in her.
I have an acquaintance on the lower Texas coast who owns a replica.
The boat has bare seated head room and being a double ender, would be pretty small inside, by todays standards.. But she's be a heckuva sea boat for surea
Hi, Just for the record it was actually a 26' and I picked her up in Feb.
TRUE LOVE!!! :D ;D
Very cool... welcome to sailfar.net.....
Hey'yal
yes I plan to circumnavigate the globe with my new love. I am a reformed powerboater and still need to learn to sail well. I am going to take a couple years to get her right and learn my boat. I plan to leave by my 50th birthday!(4 years)-Will
Wow, awesome! I can't wait to see how she turns out! Pictures please! Glad her and her skipper found her way here to sailfar!
