No leaves on the trees yet
41 outside this morning but turned into a beautiful spring day and rose to 70.
Lots to do but had to fire up the motorcycle for a ride to visit my sister.
Happily "home" for a while....

Picture of out front and out back here at the cabin..

Frank, will you be going to the Bahamas this winter?

Yes,  but a bit later.
I have 2 older sisters and many friends and past co workers that are also older than I am. We are all retired seniors now.  With that reality, last year I started being home for Christmas and new years. It is a magical time down in the islands but feel compelled to be "home"
Actually loving getting a dose of snow. Much like grandkids, I think it's more fun when you know you'll be leaving in a couple of weeks :)
Wood heat, birds at the feeder, life at the cabin in winter isn't too bad.

What a great photo, Frank. Twilight, the lights of your cozy little cabin shining out onto the snow...

Small boats and small buildings...

Landed late last Wednesday into Green Turtle after a shuttle, 3 flights, a 45 minute taxi and 20 minute water taxi.....
Was exhausted.... Starting to feel that darn age thing...
Put the sails and canvas on, did some maintenance and bottom paint touch up before splashing Monday afternoon.
It's been blowing since...
Looks like I can go island hopping Friday
Great to be floating again..

Provisioning is very expensive here.
The big grocery store on the mainland not only has much more variety, but the prices are noticeably less as well. I tagged along with a friend last Thursday, so I could stock up.
Did the trip up to Manjack to visit old friends on land.
There were other cruisers there that I knew as well, one on a Cape Dory 27 and the other on a Watkins 27 pilothouse... a unique boat.
Proving you don't need a mega yacht to be out here!
I was happy that both my outboards started and my little fridge freezer fired right up as well. Extremely happy with my lithium battery and solar panel combination.
