I took a trip down to the marina today to make sure my boat hasn't sailed off to warmer climes without me, when I noticed (again) a pretty little boat in the corner that's been ignored since I've been here (last April).
The story, as far as I can gather, is that a lady from Wisconsin bought this boat for a few hundred dollars and brought it (or had it brought) to the marina with the intention of working on it. Mid summer she called and had it hauled and blocked, again, so that she could work on it. She hasn't yet showed. After all, Wisconsin is heck and gone from Pasadena, Maryland. This boat strikes my fancy, and I've been thinking of mentioning to the marina management that if the girl who apparently owns the thing gets fed up with paying storage and wants to get rid of it fast (and cheap) to give me a heads up. I wouldn't mind too much working on a boat on the hard as long as I have a boat in the water.
Anyway, I don't know what kind it is, but here are some pictures. Perhaps someone here can enlighten me. She sure looks like an Alberg boat. The mast is wooden. The outboard is in a well. The rudder is well rounded. I wish I could have gotten a shot of the cabin; but the tarp is in the way. At first I thought this could be another (famous) Ariel, but I don't think the Ariel came with wooden spars. And while I guess I could be wrong, it sure doesn't look like there is standing head room. (Sorry for the bad quality ... I didn't have a good camera on me so used my cell phone).

Where is the boat located? If I'm not mistaken that is Rachel's Meridian. She has not been able to get work, living and the boat all in the same place yet.
The boat is at Oak Harbor Marina in Pasadena, MD. It's just a little ways down the Patapsco River from Baltimore on Rock Creek.
If this is a Meridian, it does kind of explain why it looks so familiar. After all, I've been comparing your Meridian to my Seafarer 24 in another thread. Although, in fairness, this is a different view from your photo's. A quick google check though does tend to confirm the type.
Actually, I think someone mentioned to me that the gal who owns it IS named Rachel. That once again reinforces the old saying that it is a small world.
The boat is definitely a Rhodes Meridian 25.
Here's a side view of Tehani for comparison.

Yep. That's it!
There is a new boat on my dock. I love the look of it. The teak deck, nice size cablin, small but not too small, looks to be 30 ft. It bet it is beautiful when cleanuped up. I have no idea what it is.

My guess would be that she won't be selling it any time soon. ;)

That's certainly the impression I get.

I don't know, but she was berthed in Sausalito last year when I was there walking the docks (or maybe her sister). She caught my eye too,
;D and I took a picture of her..... can't seem to find it right now ::)

I came across the owner today. She (the boat) is a 1969 Choy Lee, 30 fter, desiel powered, full keel ocean cruisier. Nice boat, all teak deak I would love to have this baby.
Zen,
I think that model is called a Choy Lee Bermuda 30. Beautiful boat. Here's a pic of one under sail on SF Bay (assuming I did the tags correctly!). Probably not, but could be, the one at your marina.

Gee, didn't think about size limitations for posting pics. Are there any? What are they?
Ah yes, great looking boat!!
The owner said he said he saw two in Berkely all cleanup and polished. That picture maybe one of them.
Here's a Cheoy Lee link. Some nice boats for not too much $$$ considering they are CLs:

Nice , I went over to the site and saw a 30fter with my name on it. I looked at the price and that it was in Fla, and took my name off :D

Don't tease me like that...I thought you meant literally a boat with Zen on it... ::)
;D
I agree with the Cheoy Lee identification. For some amusing stories about voyages aboard one, find Kathryn Lasky-Knight's book Atlantic Circle. She and her husband got such a craft as a wedding present. He was a sailor and she was not.
Her book may have been one of the first to detail such an adventure.
Norm-
Nice wedding gift...
