Cruising World has posted their idea of a list of the top 40 cruising boats:

I did not go through the whole list myself, but I did get a kick out of the comments. Basically, the comments to that list confirms my suspicion that most sailors think their own boat is "good" and "good for all purposes" no matter what objective measures are applied.
That's not me saying any of the mentioned-in-the-comments boats are "bad." Rather, I'm just saying that most folks simply categorize their own boat as "good" without much objective analysis at all.
I guess from the perspective of "the best boat is the boat you have," there's a certain merit to that.
