Title: FINALLY found out Necessity's origins
Post by: CharlieJ on November 30, 2012, 08:38:02 PM
I am a very delighted guy this evening. I've owned Necessity, off and on, since 1982, and have tried and tried to find info on designer, builder, etc, to no avail.

Happened to mention that fact on the Texas 200 sailing club Facebook page, and one of the posters FOUND IT!!

That's my boat!!

Designed by Gary Mull, and built in Harbor City Calf, by Capitol Yachts, who also built the Newport, Neptune and Gulf lines. So now I at least know SOMETHING about the boat

Probably because it IS mine!!

That's Wayne and Connie aboard Necessity, then named Unole, and I'm the previous owner they refer to.
