Title: I scored a dinghy
Post by: skylark on October 16, 2009, 06:11:51 PM
An old optimist style pram for $140, all mahogany and marine ply.  It was covered with epoxy, which is starting to flake off.  A few dings on the rubrail, otherwise in prime condition.  I sanded the bottom this afternoon and put a coat of paint on it.  Its a shame to cover it but I want a practical boat, not a beauty queen.

Somebody's boatbuilding master work, many years ago.

I'm getting it registered to use my 2hp Evinrude on it.  Should be a nice harbor dinghy.

Congrats!

Pictures would do for this thread what milk does for Oreos.   ;D
