Well, with the incredible community that exists here and special thx to MkeChris, it looks like we may have found our boat.
A 1966 Pearson Ariel that was recently and completely reconditioned.

We are having a survey done next week and if all goes well we will be purchasing her next week as well.
Thx MkeChris!
She looks beautiful. Congrats.
Congrats!
She looks like a wonderful boat! I hope the survey and all the other stuff falls in line.
;D
Awesome!
Did get an accepted offer contingent upon the survey?
If so -- congratulations! Looked like a real nice boat. Normally I'd say how scary to buy a boat you've never been in or sailed in, but the Ariel really is a nice boat. I wish I could find one in that kind of condition around here.
I've never been to a museum, but that's art in my book.
It is a good idea to buy a reconditioned boat, that will save you a year of work and get you out there earlier.
I seem to remember an Ariel for sale on ebay in that area last fall or early spring. Maybe its the same one.
Just sitting around waiting on tomorrow, excited as all heck!
Making lists of gear to be if everything goes well.
We like, for us anyway that she is as bare as she is. Gives us the opportunity to outfit her as we see fit.
She will be a beautiful boat for our first one and whatta ya know, we will have ended up with an Ariel after all.
Keep your fingers crossed and if all goes well we will be on here next week discussing my outfitting projects.
Picked out my slab reefing and potentially LazyJacks(not at all a necessity but an inexpensive convenience and based on what we'd pay for the boat a likelyhood/Fridge (Engel)/Battery Bay/(looking into solar haven't calculated my needs yet)/Pricing a full batten, 3reef main/Can't find an adequate and convenient size dinghy so still lookin/GPS/Solar shower/swim ladder/bbq/anchors & rode/handheld & fixed VHF/Depth Sounder & Speed/Barometer/ and some stuff to make my sheet on tiller steering/Plus some odds and ends
Oh boy! the fun
Greg
Wow!
She looks like a real beauty.
You'll love her.
Be sure to keep us posted on your progress.
Best of Luck.

Sail in good health. Enjoy!
Wow, nice! And being #417, she and Katie Marie probably shared some factory floor space back there in '67... ;D
Very nice !! They are really good sailing boats...you'll enjoy it. Have fun.
Any updates? Would love to hear if she worked out for you
