Here's a link that was posted on TSBB. Seems to me he's doing the "thing". Pretty good read

That is a good one, CJ.  Thanks.

I like this quote (from the writer about himself, not about Bill)

Quote

Fear is expensive. While I'm insisting on more and more equipment, other people just go and do it.

Oh, that´s  sweet. I just love that story. It reminds me of the commercial slogan of a quite large sport-shoe manufacturer.  ¨Just do it¨  ;D
- Yeah, fear sure is expensive. A few days ago, I read about I guy here in Sweden, owner of a very seaworthy 33´ design. He has set out a plan to spend 4 years(!) ¨outfitting¨  his vessel for a circumnavigation. Others actually perform their´s in that time span.  ...bet he will never leave the dock... the boat will eventually end up for sale, and a bargain to someone who is prepared to go.

Interesting, I am getting some Modifications done here in Marathon Fl and the persond doing the work was supprised to hear that I have done 2500 water miles in my boat the first year. He as not done that much in 7 years living aboard.

There's often a big difference between people who are living aboard a boat...essentially using it as a floating home... and people who are cruising, which is travelling while living on a boat...and bringing your home with you.
