Title: Spring Commissioning
Post by: wolverine on March 23, 2026, 11:14:09 AM
Water has warmed up and it's clear so I decided to suit up and see if can unwrap the dock line that entangled the Orion's prop last December. Most of the line I was able to just unwrap, but right on the shaft it had to be cut off. I got down to a few pieces and couldn't get them out. Forgetting I had cleaned out the tool locker, I'm waiting for my wife to bring me an adjustable pliers to hopefully finish the job.

Pliers did their job and everything is 10-4. Hopefully. I ran it in gear for about 5 minutes but didn't see any water dripping from the stuffing box. I may have to have someone look at it.

That's one "off the list"
Those last turns can be super tight too....
Hard to get off...
Glad it all worked out for you
