Title: What Gives?
Post by: wolverine on November 03, 2024, 11:37:04 PM
I'm terrible at backing my sailboat into our slip. Like playing pinball terrible. But backing out? No problems at all.  Why is that?

Seems odd....
My old Ariel was awful in reverse
Didn't make much difference where you put the rudder...
(Ya pays your money.... Ya takes your chances)
It had a mind of its own backing up every time...
Wonder what you are doing differently if it's only when backing in?
Tighter spot, less room for error so may seem worst?

Take a picture from *in* your slip, looking _out_ of your slip.

Print it on a letter-sized sheet of paper.

Cut out a small rectangle in the middle, say 2" wide x 4" tall.

Glue the picture to the inside of this:

Wear it when backing into slip.

Take it off before bowing.

:D
