I have some pictures of the boat up on my site.   The site still has an urban feel as I live in a 85 yro building downtown South Bend, IN for another three weeks.  That will gradually change.   You can skip all that and jump to my boat's photo album by going to

She is dirty, but solid.   Needs some clean up, some newer electronics, maybe a sail or two replaced.   I'll be up there by April 15 doin' it to it.

Looks good, Todd.  Keep the pics coming as you fit her out.   :)

I know you are as happy as a proud poppa with his newborn.  Can't say as I blame ya.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  -Mark Twain

Todd-

What year is the CD28... It looks like a PO has replaced the forward hatch with a new one... which, if done properly, will give you more light and save you a bit of work.

Looks like a good, solid boat worth putting your time and money into.  Having done a similar boat refurbish, my advice is keep it simple, don't go overboard on equipment.  Do what you absolutely have to and put off the rest till later.  Get her on the water this year and spend lots of time under sail and at anchor.

Adrift - 1975.   There are two lexan hatches installed that look very solid and professionally, at least well, done.

Skylark - I can't go wild about equipment anyway.  :o)   But I agree.  I'm making Phase 1, 2 and 3 lists now.     I really want to be back on the water.

Thanks, guys!

Ahh.. yes, the two lexan hatches must be new so to speak... :D not OEM... but they do look well done from what I could see and will save you some significant work, since you don't have to do that upgrade. :)

Todd,

Good looking boat!

I'll repeat the suggestion of others: Do what you must to get her in the water and start enjoying her!

Looking forward to additional updates.
