Fire Extinguishers--where do you put 'em?

It's a nice idea, and good to know such a product is out there...but we are dealing with diesel and not petrol engines, thus reducing the risk considerably, and my solution of being able to come at it through the back locker further mitigates any risk. I think that needing to carry a C02 extinguisher (which has a much much shorter service life) would also be a pain in the butt...unless you wanted really cold drinks really fast!

Alex-

There are other gaseous type fire extinguishers, besides the CO2 ones..  The halon replacement ones were actually what I was thinking of, not the CO2 ones.  I believe they have a service life comparable to the dry-chem extinguishers.
