off to Lake Champlain this saturday for a week of exploring on a 15fter. Rick, another M15 owner is meeting us there. Will be fun sailing and kayaking around. These lil trailersailors are a hoot. Gotta love being able to push your boat off a trailer or sand bar, step the mast onehanded, reef your 80sq.ft main,or set your 15lb "storm anchor" and sleep well. Small/simple = low stress fun

With 5 days in, rain and strong winds forcast, we pulled out early yesterday and headed home.Lake Champlain is a large freshwater lake between Quebec,Vermont and NY.It is surrounded by mountains and is full of coves and inlets making it a near perfect place for small craft. There are lots of boats...LOTS !! Sailing is alive and well on the lake and the powerboaters seemed very curtious as well. Crossing the lake on our last day with 25kn winds and miles of fetch in 15fters was an adventure.Fun...but glad to make it in on the other side too.Well worth the scenic drive through the mountains to get there...its now on the 'must go back' list.I've posted a few pics in gallery.
