I am intrigued about your Violin making operation. I have always been fasinated with folks that participate in boating, especially wooden boats being involved in businesses such as music instrument making. There is a fellow that I also share thoughts with up in the western areas of Canada  that does some nice work. Our family have always been into classical string music, as a casual level, and purchased the XM radio for our home to be afforded an overload to divert from today's poop cross the public airways. This is Tim's site.

We also have a family member that builds electric guitars that have the neck break down for the ease of transporting, too. All of our boys have participated in the state orchestra, playing the wind instruments and have one som now teaching music and guitar in the eastern part of the state. So I would be interested in you sharing some of your work and insites into how you got involved in this business.
Tell me more about your work, please. Thanks in advance.  :)

Hi Coastal Cruiser,

Here's my home page which will answer most questions about my violinmaking career

It's amazing how many violinmakers have sailboats, repair sailboats and just mess around with them.
I even have a professional boatbuilder friend by the name of Doug Martin who designs and builds experimental violins from balsa.
He got quite a bit of attention and written up in Science magazine not long ago.

Very very nice. That takes a lot of talent and patience to do that work.
