The high point of our 1st trip to Bahamas 5 yrs ago was visiting Manjack Cay.The island has a very long NE beach,3 bays on the SW with beachs,an interesting shallow backwater erea and a lagoon setting on the NW corner.Apart from the beauty of the island, the draw is the cruisers you meet while anchored there and the hospitality of Bill and Leslie who have settled there about 14yrs ago.The island has no electricity which has kept developement to a minimum. Judy and I both love the place and each year have made it a multi stop destination . If all goes well...we hope start to build a small simple cottage on the NW lagoon late this fall.NOTHING happens quickly there..nothing...so there are many 'ifs' involved. With luck, in a couple of years..it will make a good 'stop for a visit' place for some of you on your way through the Abacos.

A little cottage like some in Little harbor?

Nice place to feed the sharks and watch others do the same.

The beaches are SOOOOOOO nice.

You might be able to rent somebodies big stinkpot and bring everything over from the states in one trip.

Wow Frank - that's way cool!!! Though you'll need to get electricity in there somehow, what with all the beer you'll need to keep cold*... :)

Kurt...beer is too expensive ! But we will have solar power and a small refridgerater. A 40 of Rum is $8.50 at my favorite stop...the mix costs more ;)
