I was planning on waiting till next year to purchase a new boat but this website does nothing but inspire me to get out there  :D  . any advice on what too look for would be greatly appreciated as i have basicly 0 experience with fiberglass ...........  here is the link to the boat

Hi Matt

I'm not familiar with the boat, but I think you mentioned in another post that you would be launching the boat from a trailer each time.

I would take a good look at the mast raising system on any boat you consider. Some boats come equipped with a gin pole, tackle, mast crutch etc. to make the process easier.

If its a pain to step/unstep and transport the mast, or you need help to do it, you probably wont sail as much

Probably also wise to check the trailer out thoroughly, since it will play a fairly big part if you're trailer sailing her. :)  I like the A-frame based mast raising systems better than the single gin-pole ones, since I think they're a bit safer.

Thanks for the replies fella's , Ive had a little experiencs setting up the mast on my 12ft cat and it was a royal pain in the rear too do alone , on the plus side I am in the buisness of steel fabrication and have seen some sweet setups for mast raising that would be easy to duplicate . good point on the trailer and the mast .
