Figured I'd start a thread here on my project.

As she sat:

Out of the water!

Prepped for paint...

Done!

I'll try to keep this thread updated as I go. And I'm sure will have plenty of questions to go along with it!

dnice

Nice job. .Gonna be a great boat when done.

But you are far and away down the list when it comes to "what a mess!!!"

Here's Tehani when the boat was rescued from the chain saws-

THIS is "what a mess"

Please say "We put into it" when you talk like that ;D Laura has just as much, if not more, blood , sweat and tears in that boat as I do.

But thanks. We do love the boat.

CHarlie-

YOU is PLURAL... I certainly didn't mean to neglect your better half... but English doesn't have a clearly plural form of You, unlike Spanish. :)

Thanks everyone!

CapnK- Can't take credit for the paint. After months of prep, I tried to rolla nd tip it, and completely botched the job. Luckily, after another month of prep to fix what I did, I was able to get a guy I know who works as a yacht painter to come and spray it for a case...MUCH BETTER!

CJ- Wow. I bow to your perseverance, especially after I browsed the current photos of your boat. Those pictures of mine are after a heavy cleaning, but still aren't even a comparison!

Adrift-There is a clearly plural form of you in english: y'all! :)

Thanks- it took us 18 months of work, and we are still working on the boat, improving things. Do recall, I build ( built-since retired) boats for a living, have a full blown boat shop next to my house, and still do boat work on a part time basis. So I do have a slight edge.

Adrift- I was gonna post exactly the same thing- we down south have "ya'll". And the Brooklyn guy I was stationed with used "Youse" ;D ;D

LOL "a slight edge" ...(in my dreams my boat will look as good as Tehani!)  :) I have to admit though that young whipper snapper Frank is doing quite a nice job ;)
