Replacing crazed or scratched portlights

For anyone needing to replace crazed or scratched hatches, ports, or deadlights,
you may wish to consider Rideout Plastics.  I found them on the Internet, and they have a wide selection of materials.  I had decided to go with Plexiglas or acrylic rather than Lexan, so didn't review the latter, but they had a full choice of thicknesses, and clear or tinted light, medium or or dark shading,, and assorted colors.  I was concerned about damage to the material in shipping, but the way they package it, I needn't have worried.

Thanks for the tip - that is on the list for this spring.

To keep the material in better shape for a longer period of time, I have wondered about using a film like what this company sells as "Scratch Guard". It would sure be easier to raplace that stuff every few years, instead of the whole deadlight/portlight.

Any sailFarer's have experience with or personal knowledge about these types of films?
