That's funny.  When I was a kid, I had a friend who's dad spent years building an airplane in his basement.  Finished it around the time he retired and went flying.  Shortly after that he traded it for a higher performance plane that looked like a 3/4 scale P51.  Rick (my friend) and I were always curious how he was going to get it out of the basement but when the time came he just took it apart, hauled the parts to the airport and put it back together.  Kind of cool to see another basement project see the light of day.
