Mmm! I'm good with any of the above, but I have to say that dark lettering on lighter background is more legible from further away.

Going a step further, to the manufacturing, I personally would have no problem with a right-side only printing of the text (that is, left to right printing/embroidery only on one side or through-printed/embroidered, preferably the side with the hoist to the left.) The arrow bisecting the color is distinctive enough on its own to be recognizable, and the text just makes things clearer but isn't vital. Besides, it would be *much* cheaper and easier.

Looks  good- I buy one guys.
When I'm sailing I'm free and the earth does not bind me...

I vote for the blue arrow on the orange field, FWIW.
Like the web address in the arrow.

Another slight variation, inspired by Zen's colored words.

I gotta find that right font.

Can you use the font from the logo bar

Part of the reason I like this one

was the similarity of the font

It is nice, but hard ( costly) to repro.
Graphics are cheaper than words, then geting to shadows and trapping  $$$

I spoke with my screenprinting bud last week, and have directed him to this topic so he and I can discuss details WRT the actual construction, printability, and printing of the burgee.

If you would, please indicate in the Poll if you are interested in a burgee. The results should give me an idea of how many to order. I would imagine that the more orders we get, the cheaper they will be on a -per unit basis.

For the purposes of the poll, I arbitrarily chose $20 as a target price, not having any idea at all if that is too much or too little. I would think that would be more than what they will cost, but once long ago I was wrong about something, and who knows it could happen again... ;)

2 for me, probably a half a dozen for Frank ;)

You make them I'll buy it. 20 bucks isn't much to help support the site that has answered so many of my questions.
People sleep peacefully in the beds because rough men stand ready to do violence on there behalf.

Oldrig

I'll take one, too. $20 bucks seems quite fair, but you might have to charge more, depending on quantities needed. My own small club was selling burgees for about $30, but some of that might have gone into fund-raising.

You expect him to move them from boat to boat?  If not, he will need more.   ;D
