"Bill Crealock died at the age of 90, about one week ago.  He had fallen and broke a hip.   Death was caused by complications from the broken hip.   He will be sorely missed.  A sailor, a naval architect, a gentleman, he had great dry humor."  Many many worthy designs.I've always drooled over the Dana 24

He was a real gentleman, and he designed some beauties.

I once had what turned out to be a dumb question about a boat I was looking at. When I couldn't get an answer, a friend suggested that I "call Bill himself." So I did.

He answered the phone, answered my question and was a delight to speak with.

May he have fair sailing wherever he is!

I think he left behind a legacy of many beautiful and functional designs. He will not soon be forgotten.

Fair winds, Bill!
