Anyone know of a clean, safe and reasonably priced storage yard in southern Georgia...closer to Florida the better. Must have haul-out and launch facilities. Thanks

Frank,

A "clean, safe and reasonably priced storage yard" ?

Pick any two, as the saying goes, or maybe just one.

As far as I know there are only one or two yards in St. Marys on the north side of the Ga/FL border and two yards in the Brunswick area where we're located. There may be some other small boat marinas if your boat is light enough for the small cranes they use for local fishing boats. Near Savannah are more choices. A few miles south of the border is Tiger Point Marina, a popular storage and repair yard for that area.

Here's a link to Brunswick Landing Marina - the storage yard is just out of view at bottom of picture:

The other smaller yard, Two Way Marina, is also just a few miles from our house. I don't have their number with me but could get back to you on that. Or give me a call if I can help: 912-222-8404

Thanks James. I will call. Something to think about...It will only be for a 25ft boat but they must have 'on the hard' storage and a lift for in/out. Dockage other than a few days would not be required. Longer term storage is. Safe is good  ;D  Cheap is really good ::)  I sailed out of Charleston and into St Mary's in 02. Is the N side Georgia and the S side Florida?  I seem to remember a coast guard center on the S side once inside with a fair sized fleet. Its been a while. Talk soon.  Thanks

The yard in St Marys I was referring to is St. Marys Boat Services. A friend went there today to check on hauling his Alberg 35. Apparently they allow you to store and work on your boat there.
