I know it may not be the best blue water boat and the swing keel is the reason.  Has anyone figured a way of locking a swing keel in place. I would welcome any  and all information. I like my boat and I have it the way I want so I can live aboard. The only thing stopping me from costal cruising is the keel banging around in rough water.

I am not really familiar with the Chrysler but here in Australia there are Robb Legg 28's that actually use a hydraulic ram to raise and lower the keel. The ram is powered by a hand pump and is linked to the front end of the keel..... Maybe worth a look at the setup if you can find some pictures.

Hey Lion   My Chrysler C-26 is a fix keel but my C-22 is swing and I know it has a locking assembly in the keel trunk, its the other pipe with a neoprine rod that when you tighten down the end cap will lock the keel, my C-22 has never bang-ed side to side in any waves.

come join us-  theres a good number of C-26 owners there.

Mario,  I don't believe that the 22' and  the 26' share that lock. thanks Lion
