Plastiki crossed the Pacific , this project brought forth answers to many of the topics discussed on sailfar such as ' hydrophonics ' or raising fresh food on a cruising boat, Desalination of water, they invented a new material and of coarse sailing across the Pacific on a bunch of plastic bottles pretty amazing stuff,( Every plastic bottle that was ever produced is still with us) from the site. And they created a new adhesive that held the thing together. Check it out-
