I've got Open CPN on my Acer One notebook running Windows 7 starter. Is there a way to make the big boat smaller so that it would look more like a chart plotter? If I go one step further I get a Over Zoom on the screen.

You might try asking over at their forum (http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f134/).  I couldn't find any selection for that, though.

You also might try loading some Vector charts to see if that will get you a little closer view.

Thanks Adam,

I loaded some vector charts and that didn't make any difference.   I'll see what I can find at the link you posted.

I think the only way to change the boat size is to go into the image fill and make it smaller using a photo editing program. I don't have one on my notebook and will have to wait until I get my PC out of the shop.

Something else the program will not follow from chart to chart like Seaclear does. You have to open the next chart which is a pain.

also there's a check box in the misc section of the toolbox that's something along the lines of " keep same zoom level when switching charts" which is kinda nice to have on too
