The CraigsList ad reads...

"Pearson Ensign designed by Carl Alberg
Good news- beautiful design, decent sails, affordable,
Not as good news- broken rudder
"

****

There may be more good news to add to this...correct me if I'm wrong Craig and Kurt, but that is no Ensign...  ???

No, you are correct.  The boat in the photograph is an Ariel.

That looks to be a killer deal.  Strange that the seller does not know what the boat is though.  ::)
Satisfaction is wanting what you already have.

Craig, I thought it was a boat that you and CapnK were very familiar with.  :)

I don't know if I've hit my Alberg limit with the Corinthian or not... Should we go by the number of boats, or a total combined allowable Alberg fleet displacement...(of say 10,000 lbs)?

And should I look into this boat--or hold out for someone that is trying to sell a Triton or Alberg 30 as an Ensign...?  ;)

It was good to have a reason to look at an Ariel again, and to appreciate what a clean and simple design it is. Also to read CJ's comments and see the photos of how well his similar boat is working out for them.

After looking at the Outward Bound open boats and imagining what it is like to spend time at sea with aboard with several others, even the Corinthian cabin begins to seem pretty luxurious.
