Right now I have my boat on Lake Whitney Tx. the marina is just a few blocks from my house. As everyone knows we have been having a very bad drought and the water level has dropped quite a bit (down about 19 ft.) I had had enough not going out and decided to work my boat out from the dock. This included putting the rudder into the mud and then putting it into the rocks and mud in the channel. Over all it was a great day on the water but it this will be one of the last times to get under way until it rains and the water level rises. Just to big a chance of damaging the boat and not having a way to get the boat out of the water. All ramps are closed to any boat over 15ft. And the rail system at the marina is out of the water

Any sail boat regardless of size is a potential world cruiser, but a power boat is nothing more than a big expense at the next fuel dock

Does that mean you are stuck there with now way to pick up your boat.  Good luck on the rain, hope you get some soon.
