Not sure if this is the fabled "D" version. (Isn't that the preferred version?)
The paint job looks nice...

Probably not as it is a '78, the "D"s or Alberg designed were in the 80s. still it looks like a good deal, and if it were anywhere near me........ ::)

This is the Cape Dory 25, which does NOT have standing headroom or an inboard engine.

This boat was designed by George Stadel and originally manufactured by Allied Boat Company as the "Greenwich 24." Cape Dory Yachts bought the molds and extended the boat a bit. This boat sail svery well (better than the 25D, IMHO, because it has a lower profile to the wind), but with reduced topsides, it can get wet in heavy weather.

It's a fine boat but, perhaps, not really a SB/LD vessel, unlike the Alberg-designed 25D (which is my boat).

If standing headroom and an inboard diesel are not requirements, this could be the boat you're looking for.

Good luck!
