Here is the first of many videos from a man who sailed in the Jester and is now returning home to England.
It's an ongoing series and is pretty good. His vessel of choice is a 26' Contessa. Enjoy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8FAeJzTaOE&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

Thanks for posting that, as Contessa 26 owner I am a sucker for this type of thing.  ;D

Hello all, I have been quietly hanging out here for a while, with out posting. So hello and a great site!!
I live on the eastern end of Lake Ontario(Canadian side) and, as mentioned, sail a Contessa 26. The small boat mentality that lives here is a great thing so keep it up and I will try to contribute more as time goes by.

I think I have a new favorite phrase for strong breeze:  "It's blowing dogs off chains out there."   ;D

Heard on in the marina a couple of years ago..."blowing hammer handles and pitchforks."  That was a dude from Texas, and he had lots of little sayings.

Anyway, grog for posting the video. Thanks.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  -Mark Twain

Great video.

I think this bloke also said at one point, "It's blowing hooley."

I don't know what it means, but it sounds cool!

Well he is up to fifteen videos and are pretty good so far. I went to his web site  http://worldwidewaites.blogspot.com/ and found out that he has his boat up for sale. Sounds like he might be swallowing the anchor for awhile.  Too bad.

Great videos!

We are into small boats, but we got to check out a Contessa 26 recently and that is just a bit too small for us.

On the topic of Contessa 26s, here's a fun little video about some long distance Contessa sailors Henrik and Nina of Norway:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6TwAhT_C0Y

and here's their blog:  http://www.freewebs.com/sybika-eng/

Apologies if this has already been posted on this forum.

This should be his last day of sailing and I must say that it is a stimulating bit of video. It really gives you a sense of being out there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhgFqHFDWfI&list=WL72B46048CEF1B005&index=54&feature=plpp_video Makes me wish I wasn't stuck here in the Midwest ;D.
