Actually hunter #14 best as I can determine!

John Cherubini designed.

Built from 1973-1983

LOA 25
LWL 20'2"
Beam 8'
Draft 3'11"
Disp 4400#
Ballast 1800#
THS 6 knots

Mine is the original sloped foredeck version, before Hunter added the taller coachroof and <gasp> poptop!  Seemed to be a solid enough boat before I disassembled it.  WILL be a solid little vessel when I am done with her.

I tore and ground till she was an empty hull, think bathtub!  Rebuilding the interior for solo sailing, which is what I do 90% of the time.   Only things I've built above the waterline are the bulkheads and the galleytop.  All hardware stripped off, holes drilled oversize and injected with epoxy.  I lifted her off her keel and rebedded it.   Have made the interior seats and hatches a glassed in honeycomb structure.  Tore out the overhead to remove and replace the waterlogged balsa core.   Tabbed the hull/deck joint together around the boat.  And more little details I can't think of now.

Bulletproof is my goal, and bulletproof she shall be.  I don't want to run into things, I do want to be able to run into things!  If that makes any sense.

She was designed for a stern hung outboard <UGH>.  One of those nice spring-loaded brackets will hang off the stern for that.  I will have to get an outboard <UGH> so I can get out of Lake Erie.

When the rebuild is done I plan on sailing her out the New York Canal system and down the Atlantic seaboard.  Round the Keys and leave her on the hard in Tampa.  Then I can fly down and sail in the winter.
